Transforming Culture. Elevating Systems. Inspiring Excellence.

Dr. Jonathan Mahn, B.Sc., D.D.S., is a clinician, educator, and organizational leader whose passion lies in helping dental professionals understand how to manage their greatest challenge—and greatest asset—people.

Dr. Mahn encourages others to see beyond the technical, developing the communication, judgment, and leadership habits that point towards excellence in practice. His teaching in within and beyond the clinical setting emphasize that skill alone does not build a successful practice—culture does.

Across his career, Dr. Mahn has held leadership roles at all levels of organized dentistry as well as an Adjunct Clinical Faculty appointment in Oral Surgery at Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry.  He champions initiatives that strengthen collaboration, elevate standards of care, and support the personal and professional growth of dental teams. His approach integrates continuous improvement principles with values-centred leadership—creating practical systems that empower teams to perform at their best while building clarity, trust, and accountability.

In his People Problems lecture, Dr. Mahn draws from two generations of front-line practice experience leading a multi-disciplinary dental team and navigating complex interpersonal and organizational dynamics. His message is both relatable and actionable: that excellence in patient care is inseparable from the culture and systems that support the people who deliver it. Through real-world examples and clear frameworks, he equips dental professionals to turn daily challenges into opportunities for meaningful and lasting improvement.
